Biography
Dr. Pranab K Sen has completed his B.Sc. (1955), M.Sc. (1957) and Ph.D. (1962) from Calcutta University. Presently he is an Professor in the Department of Biostatistics at School of Public Health, The university of North Carolina, USA. He has worked at Calcutta University (1961-64) and University of California, Berkeley (1964-65) at different faculty positions. He has published in several peer-reviewed journals of Biostatistics, including Annals of Applied Probability, Demography, Journal of Applied Statistical Sciences, Sankhya, Annals of Statistics.
Research Interest
Nonparametrics with special emphasis on multivariate nonparametric methods and sequential nonparametrics; sequential estimation; decision theoretic problems in statistical inference. survival analysis; asymptotic methods; Statistical bioassays; resampling methods with special emphasis on jackknifing and bootstrapping; statistical considerations in arteriosclerosis problems, molecular genetics
