Biography

Rose is a cross-cultural mindfulness expert, child-specialist, educator, and Founder of Ivy Child International. Rose was born and raised in New York to parents who immigrated from Kerala, India. Rose’s parents were deeply devoted to mindfulness practice. Rose’s interests in music and the arts developed from a young age and led her to creating multiple modalities to address and educate groups on health issues. Beginning as a teenager serving slum dwellers in India, to teaching art and music to street children in rural villages, to now working within systems to build mindfulness across cities and organizations. Rose found her passion in education and social change. Her research interests range from applied positive psychology, the study of human flourishing, and mindfulness-based learning with children/youth to systems of education and care with a special focus on cross-cultural competencies.
