Jara Pérez-Jiménez holds a PhD in Food Science and Technology from the Autonomous University of Madrid (2007), after developing her PhD studies at the Department of Metabolism and Nutrition of the Institute of Food Science, Technology and Nutrition (ICTAN-CSIC), in Madrid. She later developed her activities at the Department of Nutrition of the Complutense University of Madrid; the Unit of Human Nutrition, INRA (Institute National de la Recherché Agronomique) in France; the Institute for Advanced Chemistry of Catalonia, IQAC-CSIC, in Barcelona; and she rejoined ICTAN-CSIC in 2012.
